Using Drag–and–Drop Text Editing II: Using the Right Mouse Button

PowerPoint’s Drag–and–drop text editing makes moving and copying text on a slide easy. Dragging with the right mouse button makes it even easier. To move or copy text, follow these steps:
  1. Highlight the text you want to move or copy.

  2. Click the highlighted text and hold down the right mouse button.

  3. Drag the text to its new location.

  4. Let go of the mouse button. When the menu appears, select Move Here, Copy Here, or Cancel.

Drag–and–drop text editing is turned on by default. If you want to turn it off, select Options from the Tools menu. On the Edit tab, deselect the Drag–and–drop text editing check box, then click OK.
