Applying a Theme to a Word E-Mail Message

When you use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor, you can use a theme (basically the same thing as stationery in Outlook) to give your messages a distinctive look.

Here's how to set up a default theme:

  1. In Outlook, open a new message using Word as your e-mail editor.

  2. In the new message, select Options from the Tools menu.

  3. Click the General tab.

  4. Click E-mail Options.

  5. Click the Personal Stationery tab.

  6. Click Theme.

  7. In the Choose a Theme list, click the name of a theme.

  8. Select the check boxes for any other options you want.

  9. Click OK three times.

Word installs the theme the first time you use it. To see your new default theme, close the current message and start a new one.
