Showing More/Fewer Buttons on the Navigation Pane (Outlook 2003)

The Navigation Pane buttons make it easy to switch between Outlook views. They're also rather small, and don't take up a lot of space on your screen. But you can give them even less space by using the Show Fewer Buttons command on the Configure Buttons menu.
Just click the Configure Buttons button at the bottom of the Navigation Pane and select Show Fewer Buttons. Each time you select it, one of the buttons disappears, replaced by an icon at the bottom of the Navigation Pane.
Replacing all five of the default buttons (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Notes) with icons means that this portion of the Navigation Pane will only occupy a tiny amount of space at the bottom of your screen.
