Keys for Working with Views

All shortcut keys are based on the U.S. keyboard layout. Keys on other layouts may not correspond exactly to the keys on a U.S. keyboard.

For keyboard shortcuts in which you press two or more keys together, the keys to press are separated by a plus sign, like this: SHIFT+F10.
For shortcuts in which you press keys one after the other, the keys to press are separated by a comma, like this: ALT, F, X.

Keys for Use in Table Views

The Messages with AutoPreview view in Outlook�s Inbox is an example of a table view. Use the shortcuts in these tables in table views.

Keys for Navigating Tables

Keys for the Date Navigator

The Date Navigator is the small calendar at the top of the Navigation Pane in Outlook's Calendar. Use it to change dates to view.

To go to the first day of the current week

To go to the same day in the previous week

To go to the same day in the next week

The Address Cards view in Outlook�s Contacts folder is an example of a card view. Use the shortcuts in these tables in card views.

Selecting Cards

To use the following keys, you must select a card. To select a card, click the card heading.

To select a specific card in the list

Type one or more letters of the name the card is filed under or of the field you are sorting by

To select the previous card

Extending Selection to Other Cards

Use these keys when you have selected one card and you want to extend the selection to others. To select a card, click the card heading.

To select the upper time scale when the lower time scale is selected

To select the first item on screen (or the first group on screen if items are grouped) when the lower time scale is selected

To use the following keys, you must select an icon. To select an icon, click the icon heading.
