Changing Toolbar Button Images

Take customizing your toolbars to the graduate level: Create your own icons for toolbar buttons. Here’s how:

  1. In any graphics program (Paint will do), draw or select a picture you want to use as a button image and copy it to the clipboard.

  2. In Word, right-click a toolbar and select Customize from the shortcut menu.

  3. Right-click the toolbar button you want to change and select Paste Button Image from the shortcut menu.

  4. In the Customize dialog box, click Close.

You may now consider yourself a Power Customizer.
